Our chat tonight is led by the #ReSNetSLT Team – Hazel Roddam, Ellie Jones, Milly Heelan and Sophie Chalmers.
We hope that you’ll join us if you can to reflect back on the huge number of innovative and impactful awareness-raising activities that took place last week to mark this year’s #SwallowAware2020 campaign, which was part of Nutrition and Hydration week.
@ReSNetSLT hosted a ‘Special Feature’ on Swallow Aware Day, which was led by guest host Sally Morgan and comprised a live research focus group. This generated fascinating insights into SLT practice with people of all ages who have dysphagia due to neurodevelopmental disorders.
You can link to the stats and transcript from that chat on our Calendar tab here.
We realise that many of you many be unavailable to join our discussions live, but you are welcome to tweet at any time using our hashtag #ReSNetSLT, and please also include #SwallowAware2020 – Thank you!
Our question prompts:
- Tell us about the #SwallowAware2020 events you organised or participated in on 18th March?
- Please share any ways in which you evaluated these activities?
- What insights did you gain into the impact of this on service users, their families or carers, and the wider public?
- Do you think you may change your practice in the future – based on any new research, practice examples, or service-user feedback from last week?
