This #ReSNetSLT event is being undertaken by the @ReSNetSLT Team and our fabulous SLT student volunteers.
Our focus is to reflect on the creative and impactful activities led by SLT students to promote the annual international awareness-raising campaign for the needs of all individuals with eating, drinking and swallowing difficulties from any cause.
You can find lots of free-to-download posters and other resources HERE – thanks to RCSLT.
On 16th March we encourage everyone to make a record of all your own news and pictures.
Share these on social media using the hashtag #swallowaware2022 and tagging @RCSLT.
Then on 30th March, in place of our usual monthly Tweetchat, everyone is invited to share photos and comments looking back on Swallow Aware Day and National Nutrition & Hydration Week.
We will compile a special feature blogpost to reflect on the impact and value of all our collective campaigning efforts, including thoughts on how this helped to:
- increase your knowledge of the causes of eating, drinking & swallowing difficulties (dysphagia),
- share research and best practice knowledge about the important role of speech and language therapists (SLTs),
- celebrate the creativity and energy of our SLT students and practitioners who have been working throughout this month to raise awareness of the public and colleagues,
- raise the profile of our SLT professional community and make new international connections.
Share your updates using the #ReSNetSLT on Wednesday 30th March if you can – and we will collect these to prepare our special feature blogpost.
And for all those of you who are new to Tweetchats, guess what?
We are delighted to share this inspired infographic from one of our fabulous student volunteers Felicity Gibbons.
This simple introductory guide will get you started. Thanks Felicity!!
Feel free to download Felicity’s infographic and share it.
