BLOG: Top Tips for Campaigning

Our ReSNetSLT feature on 30th March this year was undertaken by the @ReSNetSLT Team and our fabulous SLT student volunteers.

We reviewed and reflected on a wide range of really creative and impactful activities that were shared on Twitter, to promote the annual international awareness-raising campaign SwallowAware.

We are delighted to announce that this has been compiled into a fabulous Infographic resource that can be freely downloaded and shared.
(If you would like to download a copy of this infographic as a pdf, simply right click on the image below and save it).

We particularly wish to thank Felicity Gibbons for creating the finished product for us: this is now the 2nd of our ReSNetSLT downloadable Infographics – keep watching for more in the series coming up later this year!

We encourage everyone to note the Top Tips advice in the first part of our Infographic will be equally valid and valuable whatever awareness-raising campaign you are planning.

Inspired by the excellent RCSLT Giving Voice campaign approach to providing helpful “toolkit” style support, we invite you all to use this resource.

As this resource has been developed by current students, we hope it will be a welcome inspiration to future groups of students to help plan exciting and effective advocacy initiatives for promoting visibility and awareness of all communication and swallowing disabilities.

Naturally, we would love to hear feedback once you have shared this with your team – how are YOU going to make use of this?!

The second part of this infographic focuses specifically on SwallowAware activities – and also includes a link to our Wakelet collection of very many exciting illustrative initiatives, all of which were posted publicly on social media channels as part of respective local campaign events and activities.

Our thanks go to Milly Heelan for this supplementary resource – you can link directly to that HERE.
