BLOG: National survey for SLTs working with children

This post has been contributed by Melanie Greaux and features a national survey for paediatric Speech and Language Therapists (SLTs) to reflect on their experience of linguistic and cultural diversity in clinical practice (in general, and then with a focus on autism).

Mel is a PhD student at University of Cambridge, supervised by Dr Jenny Gibson and Dr Napoleon Katsos and this survey has full ethical approvals.

Through her research Mel hopes to:

  • Monitor facilitators and challenges associated with supporting children with diverse backgrounds;
  • Inform the relevant clinical guidelines and policies for targeted support to the profession;
  • Identify tailored CPD (Continuing Professional Development) opportunities in this area;
  • Co-produce innovative and collaborative learning opportunities for SLTs practising in different countries.

It only takes 10-15 minutes to complete – please follow this link to start the survey.

The survey closes on Friday 31st January at 5pm.

Thanks for your support and please share with your SLT colleagues as well, that would be fantastic!
