In this short blogpost, Hazel demonstrates how you can use the embedded links on the ReSNetSLT Calendar Tab to access the records of our previous online discussions.
We always keep the same regular timeslot for our monthly Twitter journal club – the last Wednesday on the month, 7.30pm – 8.30pm UK time.
Having a regular time helps us all to remember it’s #ReSNetSLT Wednesday, and we are delighted that we often have international friends joining us too, even in spite of the time difference.
But we understand that it’s not always convenient for everyone to join in whilst we’re online – and even when you do, the conversations happen so rapidly, with overlapping comments, so it’s impossible to follow everyone’s input!
So that we can all catch up afterwards, we keep our Calendar Tab updated with the full transcript of each chat: that means we can all take our time and read everyone’s comments in full.
It’s especially helpful to be able to recheck the advice and experiences so generously shared by everyone in the chat, including links to other related publications, relevant websites etc.
And, of course, this is the way that we make sure everyone can benefit from this resource – even if you’re not (yet) on Twitter!
We also post the analytics for each chat that are automatically generated for us by the Symplur Healthcare Hashtags project: in particular this shows us who was actively tweeting in the conversation, although we know that many other people are ‘listening in’ to the conversation by watching online.
And the “Impressions” indicate the visibility of our conversations, by showing how many linked Twitter accounts have registered our chat.
Make yourself a cuppa and see just how easy it is to find a wealth of resources and advice ….
You can catch up on the detailed conversations from chats that you had joined, as well as browsing our chats on other papers and topics too.
On the Calendar Tab, all the highlighted text you can see means there is an embedded hyperlink – these links all open in a new window, so you won’t lose your place on our ReSNetSLT site.
During 2020 we have incorporated some new features into our regular diary of events – including …
- themed topics to mirror the RCSLT’s 75th Anniversary focus each month
- additional tweetchat events
- a LIVE online research focus group
- an audio recorded mini-interview with some of our paper authors
As you’ll see on our Calendar list, we always take a break in August and December, so there are just 3 more chat dates left in 2020.
We really hope that you will join us online – and if you can’t make it, then feel free to catch up afterwards using our embedded links!
And keep watching out for our 2021 Calendar list – happy tweeting everyone, please remember to include @ReSNetSLT and our hashtag #ReSNetSLT when you share your own research news.
